What to expect

Example events

PS11 Family Bike Day

May 30, 2025, Clinton Hill. A free community bike party: learn-to-ride clinic, cargo bike show and tell, bike decorating, story time, and free safety checks. We brought the cargo bikes.

PS11 Learn to Ride Day

October 17, 2026, the big yard. Bike New York taught kids to ride, Coach Rosa ran group riding skills, and parents booked free cargo bike test rides with us.

Questions schools ask us

What does a whee! school event cost?

Nothing. We bring the bikes, helmets, and staff at no cost to the school or the PTA.

Where do you do school events?

Brooklyn first, since the shop is in Park Slope. If your school is elsewhere in NYC, text us and we'll see what we can do.

Is there a minimum number of families?

No. A corner of the yard at pickup works just as well as a full family bike day.

Which cargo bikes do you bring?

A mix from what we carry: Urban Arrow, Aventon Abound, Bunch Bikes, and others depending on the day.

What if I miss the event?

Book a free test ride at the shop at 441 11th Street in Park Slope. We'll set you up with the same bikes.
